WELCOME TO TWYNHAM HOUSE NURSERY SCHOOL
Working collaboratively to develop curious, creative and confident minds, Twynham House is a family-run nursery school in the heart of Christchurch. Our high quality learning environment is a working testimony of respect for the child as a unique individual. These are 'our children', who should regard Twynham House as their own home where they can flourish and feel confident that their needs will be met and respected.

CHAPTER 1
A teacher and mother, Renu's vision was to create a space that belonged to the child and wasn't cleared away at the end of the day. In September 1991, she saw her passion for education come to life in the annexe of a small primary school. Starting with just three children, Rainbow Nursery was born.
CHAPTER 2
The foundations for the first property were laid in 1992. Paul & Renu channelled their passion and dedication to childcare into creating an environment that nurtured the child, parent and staff alike. But most importantly, at 6pm each evening, they saw each child skipping out of the door with a smile on their face - some not wanting to leave!
CHAPTER 3
Many children began to be enrolled before they were born (or even conceived!) which led to the next phase of Paul & Renu's journey. In 2002, increased demand saw the pair move to new premises in a fifteenth century Priory. Their vision and investment was instrumental in the Nursery being awarded the NMT Award for Best Design and an Ofsted accreditation of 'Outstanding'.
Home to over 224 children, it was classed as the UK's largest single site Nursery.
CHAPTER 4
Children of Rainbow (and also Paul & Renu), Nikhil and Esha spent much of their childhood and early adult life within the Nursery walls, developing an understanding and love of the early years. In 2015, both qualified as teachers, ready to fly the family flag in the world of education.
CHAPTER 5
2019 saw the family stumble upon an old language school in Christchurch, Dorset. The start of a new project by the sea is filled with excitement and optimism for the journey ahead. We are looking forward to you joining us for the next part of our story.

In August 2020, Twynham House became an Ofsted registered childcare provider.
